It’s February 1, so you know Twitter is lighting up with white people — mostly teenagers, which makes me so incredibly depressed — who are just baffled or angry about the fact that there’s no white history month when there’s a black history month.

There are thousands of these; I just grabbed a few for posterity.

Knew that was coming.

I can understand the comment mentioning Latino and Asian history months but the rest— I guess they don’t realize that the every month that isn’t February can be considered White History Month. When the month was given that designation and the years that proceeded it, there was little to no mention of Blacks in history class other than George Washington Carver, Dr. King and maybe Crispus Attucks. 

I just chalk this up to….if they knew better, they wouldn’t say such things.
